Product Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
We are currently hiring personable, dynamic and confident Product Specialists who are able to present and promote Trulaboratories Corporation’s range of diagnostic products. They work strategically to increase the awareness and use of our products in settings such as clinical, research, analytical laboratories and hospitals.
Based in a specific geographical location, our Product Specialists ensure that clients are aware of, purchase and subsequently use our products. They may also make presentations for healthcare professionals, as well as working with distributors on a one-to-one basis.
The job responsibility involves contacting potential customers, identifying their needs, convincing and proving them that our products can best satisfy those needs, closing the sale by agreeing the terms and conditions, and providing an after-sales service. Product Specialists do all of these and more.
In particular, typical work activities include:
- Arranging appointments with doctors, laboratory managers, and medical technologists, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular 'cold' calling;
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with laboratory staff and supporting administration staff;
- Managing budgets;
- Keeping detailed records of all contacts and reaching (and exceeding) monthly and annual sales targets;
- Planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This may involve working with the area sales team or discussing future targets with the manager;
- Regularly attending company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings;
- Working with colleagues to plan how to approach contacts and creating effective business plans for making sales in a particular area.
